It occurred to me the other day when writing an email about Napoleon’s progress to his breeder, Natasha , that we hadn’t really written an overview update that included his overall progress.
So, here it is, the Napoleon Report Card, 93 days-old:
Napoleon’s been adapting great to city life: he’s sleeping through the night just fine now (allows for about 7 to 8 hours of uninterrupted sleep); has been a walking champion ; can do sit, down and come (fairly) consistently; has truly embraced the couch cuddling lifestyle; just had his second vet appointment (no parasites and one step closer to having all of his shots and getting to meet his neighbours); and, most importantly, is responding pretty well to his absurdly long 4-syllable name!
“But Steven,” you may be wondering, “why only an A- in this fictional, no consequences report card?” Well, Napoleon has definitely far exceeded my expectations for a puppy, but, like all puppies, he’s still figuring everything out: lately, he’s enjoyed attacking my hands almost as much as his Dura Chew and he’s been enjoying ripping up his puppy pad on occasion.
Overall, I’m really happy with Napoleon so far, I think he’s fitting into the family really well and he’s doing a really great job at adapting to his (relatively) new home and environment.
Here are a few (random) snaps I took with my phone during our trip to Kensington Market on Sunday for the season’s first Pedestrian Sunday:
